Imagine that you are assisting someone (a real or fictitious person of your choice) in finding a medical provider. In your post, provide a brief description of this person and address the following questions:

·         What factors would you need to keep in mind while conducting this search?

·         How would you evaluate who the best medical provider for this person is?

·         Consider the type of care necessary, cost, the level and type of insurance coverage available, and any other related issues. What would make someone a good or bad medical provider for this person?

Welcome!

Hello Class!

Welcome to your Medical Law and Ethics blog! I have created this blog for you all to interact with each other in an online format. I will post questions to this blog weekly and you all will be responsible for answering questions and responding to your classmates post. Each student must respond to at least two of their classmates post. Post must be at least 50 to 100 words (if applicable), therefore a simple "I agree with your answer" will be accepted. The week will run from Thursday to Wednesday (April 24 - April 30) then week two will start on May 1. Each student must post their initial response to the question by Monday (April 27) of each week and respond to at least two of their classmates post by Wednesday (April 30). Each week for the next four weeks, we will follow this same format.

Online Netiquette

Online netiquette basically means be respectful to your classmates. We all have different opinions and we may not agree with each other but we must respect each other. Here are some examples of inappropriate discussion post:
  1. Disrespect - Impolite behavior such as putting down or cursing your instructor or any student on an online post
  2. Offensiveness - sexual discussions, as well as images of this nature
  3. Discrimination - Derogatory statements about race, national origin, religion, sex, age, disability, and sexual orientation.
I look forward to reading everyone's post and comments! Please take this as a learning experience and keep an open mind.
